Akira is written 明: the sun 日 and the moon 月, side by side. Together they mean bright, clear: the light that is there by day and by night. Even when you lose sight of it, it never leaves.

That is the idea behind everything we make. Somewhere between who the world asks you to be and who you really are, there is a quiet place. Akira was made for that place: a small reminder, on your skin, to come back to yourself.
